Australia
We spent 4 days in Sydney and 3 days in Melbourne. Sydney is a gorgeous city. We had a little bit of rain and clouds but lucked out with sunshine most of the time. We were pretty tired the first day we arrived after the long flight, so we didn't do too much. We walked around the city and the harbor the next day, then went to the Aquarium and Wildlife World. We went to the zoo the next day and rode a ferry around the harbor. The zoo is beautifully landscaped and overlooks the harbor and the city of Sydney. We went to Bondi Beach our last day in Sydney, unfortunately it wasn't very sunny that day.
Melbourne is a beautiful city as well, the architecture there is amazing. The wineries we went to in the Yarra Valley were great and the scenery was spectacular, although actually getting to the wineries was a challenge. The directions and street signs in Victoria aren't the greatest. Driving on the other side of the road for the first time wasn't too bad, though. Driving through the countryside and down the Great Ocean Road was beautiful. It reminded me a lot of driving along PCH in California. The only thing I could have done without were all the flies that are all over Australia! Those little pests were everywhere, constantly swarming around everyone. I took a picture of this guy walking in front of us with a bunch of them on his back and flying around his head!
We took a lot of photos so I'm not going to post them all on here because it would take up a lot of space. I uploaded all the photos to our Australia album. If you'd like to see them all click here to go to the album.
